Disclaimer: People with fear of crowds, congestion - strictly avoid this place. Busy market place, filled with hoards of people - shopping, eating, gossiping, bargaining, clicking photos - best for people who are nimble footed and can strike a hard bargain. Carry sufficient change and take care of belongings.

Quite congested and you run the risk of getting in trouble with the locals . Avoid and go only if you haggle out of any tricky situation. Not recommended for families

This is one of the oldest market in Lucknow. You get good Chikan work clothes with prices ranging from as low as Rs 300 for a ladies kurti to several thousand rupees for a saree depending on the type of work and cloth material. Similar is the story for men's, kid's clothing also. This area is also food lovers paradise... More

this is miniature version of chandni chowk. It is a nice place to pick up things. The burma bakery serves amazing biscuits. The cholewala has a unique style to prepare each patta. The chikenkaari shops are less in number than expected, but better bargains can be struck.

During my visit to Lucknow, I visited Aminabad for some puchasing. I had to leave my cab at Kaisarbag crossing and then walk upto main Aminabad Chowk.Too much crowd was there.Walking on road was a tough job in itself.
