    Wonderful Vishwanath Temple
One of the most pious and important Hindu temples. Lord Shiva temple is magnificent. The temple is very clean and organised. We had good Darshan in comfortable manner even though there were many pilgrims.

    Good experience
The temple is for religious and spiritual journey a person can undertake. With the new developments the area is now bigger, cleaner and managed properly. We visited all the main temples like Sankat Mochan mandir, Kal Bhairav Mandir, Durga Mata mandir etc. The darshan was good, the crowd is there however it is moving and managed well. One thing we noticed is no dakshina no teertha from the priest, they insist on giving dakshina at least INR 2 or 5 else they do nt give teertha. Photography is not allowed in all the main temples so do not have photos

    Simply Har Har Mahadev 🙏
It is an experience! simply spellbinding and just walking thru the streets and the Queue to seek blessings of har har mahadev who has literally chosen to sit down unlike other temples where he is to eye level or higher is amazing.... Yes you have to look down to the lingam for Darshan. We were fortunate for not having a long wait and could finish the entire temple darshan including Annapoorneswari temple as well in about 2hrs and without fetching any special darshan tix. Its always good to have a guide who knows the city and temples well so they can guide you else getting lost is for sure 😊

    Holiness of the purest soul
We were not sure on what would be best time to visit the temple m, with its large following our thoughts were to opt for Mangla Aarti darshan which is usually between 3-4 am (although it’s too early ) we expect less crowds and between this we met a local by sheer Co incidence who overheard our chatter and suggested to opt for darshan at the current hour which was around 9pm. He guided us that temple is pretty close by and also not much crowded. We went by his thoughts and also were relieved of mid night trip with this we took a e rickshaw to cover half km of distance admist crowded and extremely noisy hour of Varanasi traffic. Upon reaching we parked our r mobile phones and bags at locker facilities run by private operators and thus begun our journey with clouded minds we entered the premises an found footwear drop point which then was near to main temple. There was not many people until we approached last queue which again was not so long or crowded or pushy. I’m sure in quick mins we had our opportunity to pray with main shrine which is located not in centre and is again a feet deeper then surrounding thence a bit of effort to visually locate and pay our respects. With temple being not so crowded we choose to sit a big longer within the tranquil premises and feel the aura which was one of the wisest choice as the next 2 hours were enriching with chants of aarti which was merged with drum rolls an after a few mins we witnessed the chants of bringing lord shiva to sleep. It was surreal and none of us were expecting to be surrounded with such divinity that the most difficult choice was to leave the premises as it was already midnight the lord had rested and we also had to collect our belongings (the locker guy was available as we reached and informed they’re open 24x7 with a smile )

    Soul of Varanasi
This is one of the most revered Shiv Temple in the world. Had an incredible experience visiting here and performing Rudrabhishek Puja. The whole environment is so serene and electric that you need to be here to experience it! The Temple and Darshans are now very well organized and you can book Darshans in advance online. You can book Sugam Darshan which won't take more than an hour even on a Monday morning. Better still you can book Rudrabhishek Puja where one of the priests will come with you, organise all the Puja thali and will help you to perform this Puja! You will then offer that milk and samagri on the main Deity. The whole experience did not take more than 90 min and you'll feel Blessed! Few tips: 1. Book your Darshans / Pooja in advance online. 2. If you are taking elderly with you, be mindful that they'll need to walk. Wheelchairs are available but limited. 3. Take public transport (taxi, auto, e-rickshaw) to reach here. You won't find car parking anywhere closeby. 4. You do NOT need to give away your footwear / wallets / mobile in the lockers outside the temple complex. There is a place to leave these things right inside the temple. 5. Wear non revealing clothes, recommended to wear Indian clothes.

Truly believe the power of Shiva- mandatory visit
Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a profoundly spiritual destination where the saying "to feel is to believe" truly comes to life. The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, exudes an almighty presence that can be deeply felt by all who visit. The atmosphere is charged with devotion and reverence, creating a powerful and transformative experience. Walking through the temple, visitors are enveloped in a sense of the divine. The intricate architecture and the sacred energy of the place amplify the spiritual connection, making it a place where faith and belief are palpably strong. The rituals and chants resonate with followers, enhancing the spiritual ambiance. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is not just a place of worship but a journey into understanding and following the power of the divine. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking a profound spiritual experience.

    Beautiful but restricted view
The shrine is awesome. But sorry to say that the last portion one has to walk and hence not that suitable for those on wheelchair. Managing the long queue within the temple premise can be improved a lot. Managing the queue outside the shrine is similar. If one pre-buys the different tickets, one will get specific duration. Request and suggestion to keep at least 1-3 hours in hand to reach the "Chowk" since there will be huge queue from the "Chowk" to the temple entrance. The good part is that the temple administration is not that rigid about the timings, as we had seen. My request to the administration of Varanasi is to kindly look into the point that the regular thoroughfare thru that not so wide road, if can be diverted, will bring in much relief to the pilgrims going to the temple. There are small shops where you can keep all of your belongings - cosmetics, etc. in locker and the key will be given to you but these are paid, which is ok. Inside the temple premise, you need to keep your mobile phone and shoes in lockers without any payment. I could not find any near-VIP / VIP-like ticket available on the website. There are boys who are registered and takes people on wheelchairs and they are just awesome. Hats off to these boys.

Always love this city. Kashi is supposed to be the oldest city in the world and abode of Lord Shiva. Visited Kashi Vishwanath temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple Sankat Mochan and Durga Kund . These along with the Ganga Ghat &!Sarnath are the must visit places for anyone especially a Hindu. I would vote the omnipresent Auto to be best mode of transportation for touring the city. And the best part was our Autorickshaw driver Pappu who ensured that we didn’t miss anything. Would highly recommend him in case anyone wants to visit Varanasi.

Well I think that I exhausted my time by visiting to Varanasi, First of all the temple, Priests were doing Arbitrary, even after we spent two hours they just closed the gate for so called Vip person, and second worst experience I had with people, so I would like to tell that you won't be welcomed here by locals, after all they all are same rude, arrogant, so called goons, so yeah I am getting a feeling that I would not visit it next time and after this incident I got confirmation from these useless fellows that God exists everywhere and you should not search them in temples, and peoples of these cities. Please improve yourself you are ruining your city image and value. That's all and yes if someone disagree with me then i must inform you that my review is completely based on true experiences.
Peoples who have visited please comment and let me and other know and create an awareness for added safety to the tourists.
Thank You

Temple is magnificent and beautiful. But it is all commercialized. Pandits will try to force you to pay for meals of 11 pandits. Also, it is really difficult to get darshan without Sugam Darshan tickets. Now they do not allow you to touch Shivling. They have put 4 windows having grills. You can pour milk and flowers which will slide to Shivling. Government must make proper arrrangements like Mahakaleshwar temple(Ujjain) so that people can get darshans without the need of agents or VIP (Sugam Darhsan) tickets.

The temple itself is quite beautiful (especially the newer, main site) and it seems to be a nice temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Varanasi (Benaras), not to mention its almost on the Ganga (Ganges) riverside. However, the organisation regarding getting to the Temple and coming out wasn't great, because even though the temple was beside the road, getting into the main site involved a somewhat long and winding walk through the old narrow corridors in the older parts of the site which weren't exactly the cleanest or best maintained to walk through barefoot & it didn't help that there were lots of people (I'm okay with long walks, but not across corridors where the floor isn't well maintained or which are too narrow for a large number of people). Not to mention when we got closer to the temple, there were about two security checks (I can understand one check but more checks than that is a bit too much) which further slowed things down and once we finally got to the temple, there seemed to be some pushing in the queue and at the central spot one or two priests poured too much tilak/kumkum on me without consent which ruined my shirt and vest. But anyway, the main temple itself was quite nice, beautiful and relatively well maintained compared to the older narrow bits and corridors I walked through in order to get there (although photos were understandably restricted) and it was good to worship Shiva for a short while. But the organisation regarding getting to the temple and reaching it definitely could be improved and if you are going there by car, bear in mind that there is no direct car park at the temple, so you need to memorise the name and location of where the car is kept in order to avoid getting lost and the car parks are some distance away.

One should reach the temple premises before the shops start opening and avoid the rush of shoppers and devotees. Vehicular traffic is banned, once the market opens. Luckily, we did not have to join the serpentine que of devotees and reached the main temple in a matter of minutes. Yet, we could spend only a few seconds in front of Baba Bhole Nath.
The corridor is grand.
Like in Ayodhya, photography was prohibited. We were divested of our mobiles. Even items like pens, combs and the ladies' hair clutches had to be surrendered. Really!!! One would thing they were guarding Fort Knox.
