Historic place

The fort is across the ganges. You can go there by boat or through road. The family of erstwhile king still lives here. There are some remains of canons etc. Not very attractive

It's not a military fort, even though there's some old cannons around. The fort was never attacked or defended and was basically the home of a rich prince up to modern times. There's a very curious museum inside. Lots of atypical objects (like 1920's to 1950's automobiles along with the obligatory weapons exhibit) which are all covered with a thick... More

The fort is great. The culture and tradition can be easily understood with the paintings and the artifacts of the past, but everything is poorly managed. The fort is not maintained at all. The view of the ganges from the fort is mesmerizing.

The place is full of collection of all items that were cherished by the King of Kashi. It includes cars, clothes, weapons, furniture, watches, skins of animals and other historical treasures. The place is good and worth watching but poor management makes one feel depressed and disappointed. The place is full of spits and stains of Pan,gutka and other items. The government and... More
