My partner and I loved our vegan cooking class. Our flight from Australia was cancelled very last minute, meaning we would miss our cooking class - I contacted them straight away, and received a response super quickly, accommodating us for the next day instead, which was super lovely. Everyone involved was so friendly and helpful. The market was a great... More

It was the most amazing experience! From the trip to the market place to walking around and picking fresh ingredients right off the farm, I couldnt have asked for a better way to really learn the true and traditional way to prepare real balinese food which may I add was one of the most delicious meals Ive ever had! And... More

Forget cooking classes in Ubud central...if you love Balinese food, local culture and countryside, this is a must-do! My friend and I were picked up at 8am at our hotel in Ubud by Jeroo and driven first to Klungkung market, a large local market with acres of fruit and vegetables, temple offerings, baskets, household goods, etc. and both walked away... During a month in Bali I participate in 3 different cooking classes and Green Kitchen was the best by far! All the other reviews give great, detailed descriptions of the experience so I'll try to just mention a few points that made it stand out to me. Jero has put together a really well thought out vegetarian menu. In other... More

Picked up on time from our hotel in Legian to go to the market .the market and our tour there was a it of a waste as not much explained and lots of things /vegetables we clearly knew but sort of wandered aimlessly though the market . The drive is a bit to get to sideman but when you get... More

This cooking class was one of our highlights of our trip to Bali. We felt like we really immersed ourselves in the culture. The day started off by visiting a local food market, then a trip to the village, where we walked through the paddy field to the kitchen. It was a hands-on experience, and learnt so much about the... We had a lovely day and a real Balinese experience! We were picked up from our hotel and brought to the local market where we had a little tour around the fruits and spices. This was followed by a tour at the family rice fields, with explanations of the harvest process. Once at the kitchen we used all the lovely... More

I loved this whole experience & the food was traditional balinese. Amazing! First stop was the market in Klung Klung; no tourists, only locals. Sold everything you can imagine. Next stop was (my host) "Nero's" house & walk to the outdoor kitchen via his huge garden. Nero & his family grow all their food in this garden. We picked our... More

We spent a whole day with local Balinese, starting with a visit of a purely local market in Klunkung, followed by harvesting of herbs and fruits in the family farm, and then cooking of several typical balinese recipes under the kind eye of our hosts. The kitchen is in the open air, overlooking the rice fields...This is magic. One of... More

As close to NATURE and REAL BALI as you will get! Definitely worth a TRY! Make a whole day experience of it - so you don't have to RUSH too much! You won't regret! 95% of the produce used in the cooking comes from the garden / farm that belongs to this family! Absorb a little bit of BALINESE spirit... More
