Hi All, Me and my wife went to Bali this May and got a reference of an excellent taxi driver cum guide, Putu. He has a nice and spacious air-conditioned car and was friendly and helpful. The cost was also nominal - 50 USD for 8 hours. Name: Putu Wismaya Mobile: +62 81 934 300 753 email: putu_wismaya@yahoo.com

Picked up from Hotel and driven and had a tour guide. Very friendly and good driver. We saw Temple, Silver making, Wood carving, and Heron birds. A real culture experience. Great afternoon.

It's a very nice place in the higher regions. Many shops showing off thier skills and atistry with wood carvings, wood and metal statues and many more attractive stuff (just to many). The rice terrace is a must to see.

There are so many shops displaying various carving , statues, artefacts, some colourful painted on wood or made from metal, windchimes, we stopped many times to buy from these little shops as retail shops would sell them at premium price. If lucky you may bargain too with them and get a cheap... More
