This was part of a stop in a day tour and I was disappointed because U thought this was a Bali women dance show. That is my bad for not checking it out first. In any case it was an interesting depiction of the historical culture and while the story line was a bit long, it was interesting from that... More

So we lasted 20 mins watching this dance. Information: it's 100,000 idr to get into the show, they have handouts explaining the dance in different languages, seating is ok. This place seemed like a tourist trap (as the previous post stated) and is in all honestly a little boring and drags out for a long LONG time. I wouldn't recommend... More

This was our first stop for Bali day tour which set us in a very disappointing mood. It was poor show purely staged for tourist who might have paid thinking they will experience a local cultural life. No such thing... best avoided...

Our driver suggested we see this show when, on our way to our hotel from the airport, I asked why the statues around the town/ city were adorned with sarongs. We saw this show the first morning! We were early to arrive so got front row seats, however there would not have been a bad seat in the place. The... More

This is actually a good (Barong) vs evil (Rangda) morality play in 5 acts. Great costumes and action and would be fun to bring kids to. Suggest that you grab a program guide before you see the play to understand the scenes. Think Kabuki Theater or Western Melodrama with an Indonesian flair.

We purchased the tickets adult Rp.100,000 and child Rp.50,000. Initially we had much enthusiastic for the show, but may be it was due to story line is too long, and a little bit confusing of the characters appeared on the stage and trying to figure out who is who. In the end, we found it a bit boring through out... More

So this is probably the biggest smack of local culture to the face you're going to experience first thing in the morning. The costumes were nice, the stage itself is stunning. The band will play the same song for an hour without skipping a beat and you will be impressed by that. You'll also become incredibly confused with the story... More

We were brought here by our driver/guide on our way up to Kintamani. 100,000 rupiahs per person for a performance of Barong & Kris. We arrived 15mins earlier to get good seats but after the show started, they still let people walk in. It was disrupting as they walked pass you unapologetically to find seats. At the entrance, they handled... More

We wanted to get an idea of Balinese culture through the dancing and this is exactly what we got. The hall is a great venue, although, the seats were quite uncomfortable. We enjoyed the prelude with the men playing the Balinese instruments. The costumes were authentic and very colourful and their makeup flawless. It was a 5 act show which... More
