I loved everything about Casa Luna, from their seafood paella, to the live music at night, the cooking class + local market tour, and just having lunch and chilling in the day. The food from the cooking class was the best meal I had in Bali. Besides getting to eat the food you cooked, you are also given other dishes... More

The lesson was well paced, starting with information about various ingredients then moving into preparing food and then cooking a variety of different dishes. Our teacher kept the pace up as well as the banter flowing as she instructed us in a clear but entertaining way. Everyone got the chance to get involved as we made a variety of tasty... More

Really enjoyed our class today! Our teacher was really funny and knowledgeable. I liked that she pointed out replacements and to be careful here and there (like how Balinese Garlic is so much milder than Western or Asian garlic). We even learned about some some simple recipes for things like aiding digestion and sleep! Can't wait to try at home!... More

i was attracted to this cooking school more because of a morning trip to the market than because of the cooking school itself (not every class includes this trip). unfortunately, while our "teacher" was very good at explaining, he still focused on the more familiar elements (fruit, spices, ...) and less on the other ones (roots, greens, ...). I assume... More

You don't really cook, just listen to the teacher (a Balinese lady, who speaks really fast, so you barely have time to take notes) and watch how she and her assistent cook. Sometimes they ask for volunteers to give them small tasks like chopping things. For instance, my task was chopping like 20 or more garlic cloves, so exciting ;-)... More

My husband and I did the Saturday morning, Food as Medicine Vegan cooking class. Our teacher Oleg was an incredibly friendly, informative and encouraging mentor. Together with 4 other holiday makers we learnt about everything from food production, ingredient selection, preparation and cooking. Oleg also interweaved a great deal of general information about Balinese culture. It is the highlight of... More

We took the Wednesday morning class and loved it! Right from the beginning, we were completely in awe of the surroundings and beautiful grounds. We sat down and enjoyed a fresh hibiscus cold drink while chatting with the other guests. Didn't take long for our crazy and oh so funny teacher to show up and start telling us, not only... More

Well organized and informative. As hands on as you'd like it to be. Beautiful gardens surrounding the cooking area. Take your swimmers as a dip in the pool after the market visit is a great way to cool off. The "second breakfast" was delicious as was lunch itself.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our time at the Casa Luna Cooking Class. The market tour was a terrific start and showed a different side to the market area than what most tourists are used to. As the tour commences just after 8 the market is still set up with fresh produce and spices and not the arts... More
