I first visited this gallery in 1988. It's a free attraction housing important works from Balinese artists. It's a great way to acquaint yourself with local art and techniques especially if you want to buy some of the many items available from galleries all over the island

There is a lot of art here and some great explanations of the origins and styles. Worth a visit for an hour or two.

This museum has a suprisingly broad collection of traditional and contemporary art set in a series of lovely open air pavillions. Impressively diverse collection of a true art loving family. The ethnographic photos from the 1930s gave a great insight into culture in Bali in the (not so) roaring 30s. Walk down the hill from here to Botanical Day Spa,... More

Fantastic collection of great masters who detected the mystery of Bali during the 1930s to 1960s. Highlights are paintings from Hofker, Bonnet, Theo Meier, Arie Smit and also Affandi. Exhibition in a beautiful setting of historical buildings and a Balinese garden. Well worth a visit, for once not of a touristy nature.

This place just goes on and on. Many paintings, or prints, sold to the tourists, you must bargain here also.
