Very nice quiet place in crowdy Ubud. There are for buildings and in each there is an exhibition of Indonesian art. It takes about an hour to go trough and after you finish you get a little refreshment which is nice. The entrance fee is 185.000 rupiahs. Definitely worth it.

My travel companion and I visited the museum, which is a must To see in Ubud twice to enjoy in peace all the art from traditional to contempory in the mid day/ afternoon. Each time we had a meal which came with the more expensive ticket, which was worthwhile. We can just recommend the crispy duck. Beautiful look into the... More

I spent a least a couple of hours wondering around this museum complex taking in the beautiful Balinese art and wood work on display. It was refreshing to also see some contemporary works alongside the more traditional artworks on display. Staff were friendly and kind. As an added bonus the entry ticket entitles you to a free drink and snack... More

Let's face it, you won't have any photos of the art works and paintings inside this museum, because photography is strictly forbidden. That is why I only have photos of the garden and the entrance gates. After World War Two, an organisation called the Ubud Painters Group recognised the need for a museum of traditional Balinese Art and in 1953,... More

It has an entrance fee of 85,000 Rupiah per person which is inclusive of 1 beverage in their cafe. The museum has ancient and modern Balinese art. There are paintings on display created by famous local and English painters. There are historical paintings and our tour guide shared to us stories behind some paintings. I love the story of the... A nice mix of modern (mostly for sale at very high prices - for more sensible prices try Semar Kuning cooperative gallery out of town) and traditional Balinese art spread throughout four gallery buildings, set in beautiful grounds in the heart of Ubud. 80K IDR entrance, for both locals and foreigners, and includes a free drink at the cafe. Its... More
