By Reservation Saturdays 10:30am-12:30pm Hubud in Ubud / Rumah Sanur in Sanur. Cinta Bahasa Indonesian Language School offers courses in both Indonesian and Balinese language for tourists, short-term visitors, residents and professionals. We offer a 2-Hour Indonesian Language Crash Course to help tourists and short-term visitors to acquire a quick and functional grasp of the language, together with a short guide to help you to get the most out of communicating with locals and practicing good etiquette while you are here. We also offer longer courses for those who have decided to take the plunge and live here long-term, and trust us, many do!

Terima kasih banyak!!!!! This school is great - from initial contact to patience with my brain not accepting another language. Big thank you especially to Vuri - her patience, humour and willingness to share made this very special. Highly skilled!!!

I did one on one - as that is my best way to try and learn - but am sure the group classes are delivered with similar skills. Huge value for the investment of time and money made.

I would highly recommend if you are staying a little in Ubud to use this school - if my brain can learn the basics - imagine what it could do for you!!!

It is so nice to be in an atmosphere where mistakes are treated with humour and encouragement. A little like when you practise with orang Indonesia - even the basic words/phrases/attempts are appreciated and it has enhanced my Ubud experience even more...... and I am trying when I can.

Sedikit sedikit, lama lama, menjadi bukit!!!

Native Teachers and Friendly Learning Environment

Cinta Bahasa established for more than 8 years and they definitely help foreigners how to speak to locals in local manners! The curriculum is easy to understand and allows us to construct our own sentences with the help of Bahasa Indonesia's basic structure.

The environment is very nice, feels like home. You're allowed to use the fridge to store your snacks, coffee and tea corner and they have a garden to hang out at which sometimes turns to a classroom! Highly recommended.

Dynamic language-learning

I'm a long-term student at Cinta Bahasa. It's been an excellent introduction to Indonesian delivered in a really hands-on way - no rote learning, no dry comprehension. My teacher tailors my class content so I can talk about the things that are important to me. The course pricings aren't cheap, but there's real value in the investment. I plan to be a student there as long as I'm in Ubud.

Great Language School, Great Teachers and Staff

I would recommend this place if you want to learn bahasa Indonesia and wish to make small conversation with locals after finishing the course. They provide group, private, online course, and also an introduction class as well.
The teachers and staff are very nice and friendly, and you can have free coffee or tea too! :)

Useful quick introduction to Indonesian

We took the quick introduction to Indonesian with Okta at the Ubud Coworking space. The class was useful and helped clarify some things that weren't clear from using a phrasebook. If you are going anywhere outside the main tourist areas of Bali or to other parts of Indonesia, it helps to take this class. Indonesians really appreciate even a small attempt to speak the language!

One note - the class was across the street from the Monkey Forest so the class was occasionally interrupted by monkey fights outside!

Very Good Language School in Sanur

Recently, I did some private lessons at Cinta Bahasa language school in Sanur. Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to my teacher Wulan, who taught me for all my lessons at Cinta Bahasa. She was very helpful and tailored a little course for my lessons, and was also happy to help me with any questions I had about the language. She was incredibly friendly to both my family and I and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I would also like to thank Cinta Bahasa for the prompt correspondence and help organising the lessons before we arrived in Indonesia.

As part of my volunteer role I was given a 40 hour course in Bahasa Indonesia at Cinta Bahasa in Ubud. I had several teachers during this time and they were all very experienced and patient native speakers of Indonesian. The course is structured but you can develop it in a way that suits your needs using examples when practising to speak Indonesian.

My daughter and I came from Canada to spend 3 weeks in Ubud. We took the 3-hour crash course the first Saturday we arrived and put it to good use right away, restaurants, shops and markets. The response from locals when you can say even a few words and show some etiquette is touching. Fun and interactive, great learning atmosphere and a very patient teacher. Highly recommended!!
