Very friendly staff! Experiencing the workshop was a great learning experience. The showroom was full of fabric. could be confusing to select but the staff were there to assist and teach the different types of materials and methods. Refreshing visit away from the traffic of downtown Bandung

Spent 105.000 rupiah on a short course to do stamping on a handkerchief. I stamped the pattern (you get to choose your favourite) with the help of the staff and proceed to dye it (in blue, purple or red) with the help of the staff. We get to see the process of the dyeing and the melting of the wax... More

We loved this! It was different to all the usual museums etc that are in all the countries. Made our own handkerchiefs and were given a 1:1 tour of each step and process. The only downside was that my wifes handkerchief looked better 😉 Got a blue bird taxi to the place and hired one back. I would recommend you... More

They charge 120,000rp/pax for a short session where one will learn the process of batik making and create a small handkerchief of your own design. The whole session took us about 4hrs to complete. They also have batik merchandise on sales at the shop.

It's so hard to find the location. But this is the only place you can see how they create the Batik by the very traditional way. However, the hand-made Batik is so expensive!!!

I visited Batik Komar and met the skillful workers and toured the workshop where artisans are making batik caps, stamping the beautiful designs on cotton, and also patiently canting on hand drawn batik. I shopped beautiful batik tulis with colourful Cirebon designs and contemporary styles. Megamundung motifs, floral garden or dutch fairy tales, and wayang motifs on smooth cotton or... More
