A 15 minute walk from entrance of Situ Gunung suspension bridge. Would recommend a picnic here to unwind after a good hike at bridge & waterfall.

The walk from lakeside parking will take you 5 minutes downhill. Plenty of mats for hire for your picnic. You can order food to be brought over to where you are camped out or bring your own.

A sampan (wooden boat) around the lake would cost 15K per person, a good way to chill and enjoy the scenery. Altogether a good way to enjoy nature.

Don’t forget to clean up after yourselves and throw away rubbish at designated bins to preserve the scenery.

Its bit far from Jkt, bout 4 hours by car but so worth it.

Entrance tiket 50k per person including coffee break, pisang, ubi and hot coffee or tea. We can go to the bridge both and simple treking while listening the Sunda gamelan. Awesome.

D management is great while need more space for parking lot

Really love this lake. Especially when you arrive early in the morning. Breathtaking surrounding, fresh and clean air.
But it will be packed with tourists if you arrive later than 10am.

It is one of the attractions in the Sukabumi area with natural scenery of mountains and waterfalls called Curug Sawer. To go to the waterfall, tourists must walk along the path and cross the mountain via a suspension bridge.
There is a camping area for tourists who want to stay while enjoying the cold mountain air.

It's quite easy to get to Situ Gunung Lake. Once arrived at Cisaat Station (one station before Sukabumi Station), grab blue mini-van to get to "Polsek Cisaat", cost 5k each. Then continue by taking red mini-van heading to Taman Nasional Gunung Gede-Pangrango entrance. It cost 12k, local people paid 3k-5k only.
The entrance fee: 18.5k for weekend. There is big map showing the attraction/route. I went walking to Situ Gunung Lake, which took about 20-25 minutes. First impression? The scenery is quite beautiful, but so quiet and there is no other attractions but few boats waiting for customers. I didn't take the boat for personal reason.
There is souvenir stall selling keychain, bracelet/necklace from local wood/rubber, cost 10k each.
I found some tourists were getting there by car or motorbikes, but I enjoyed walking to reach there.
Nothing much to say, this is surely not what I expect before getting there.

The surrounding park is well-maintained. Avoid crowds on weekends. Additional attractions include the suspension bridge and Sawer Waterfall.

Situ Gunung Lake was indeed a good visit. The way to go there was quite easy, but actually there are 2 ways narrow lane and wider lane. if you are approaching from Jakarta, gmaps will give direction through narrow lane althought it is not a difficult driving lane.
So Situ Gunung itself has several stop to go and one of the is The Situ Gunung Lake.
After you enter the main gate (pay the ticket - it cost 18k/pax and 10k/car) and you just turn left and you can drive your car and park quite near the lake area.
From parking area you need to walk around 10-15 mins. It was still on construction so the walk path is not as smooth as it has to be plus with rainy season. Better to use your shoes anyway.
After a walk you will reach the lake easily, it was a very nice and peaceful place. Make sure you arrive there in the morning so the crowd still not arrive yet and you will get more privacy..
Ah, and if you are a camper it also has a camp site!

When I was there the kano was still on maintenance so no one can use the kano (although I also has no willing to try it. . .)

So overall it was quite good, not as great as i thought but consider the easy drive and cheap ticket, it was okay for a short escape..

Visiting situ gunung at December is not good idea. Its rainy season. I came at 5 am in the morning for sunrise view at the lake, unfortunately it was cloudy, misty and drizzling. I read some review before coming. The lake is average, but if you keen on photography its worth to take pic in the early morning. It costs 50K for the bridge ticket including welcome drink and snack. You can sit at the balcony with breathtaking view. Safety belt for crossing the bridge and back. Theres ojek to take you to every place in the spot, but I prefer hiking and enjoy the the fresh air.

Tips: visit at workday or early in the morning before the crowd.
