I am not recommending this place for people who want more attraction. But, if you are a selfie queen, or king, than this place is a must.
It is run and managed by private company, with entrance fee for once is Rp. 25.000,- per person.
The view is breathtaking with Maninjau Lake and Bukit Barisan. If you're photographers, please visit this place at early morning and afternoon before sunset. Sometimes, at noon, there is no clear view at all due to hazes and clouds.

They seem to manage this site right, it is still looking clean and gorgeous. The young ones could enjoy the zip line experience going down the hill too.

Puncak Lawang is basically a place overlooking the Maninjau Lake. The area is undergoing a renovation at the moment but still, the gorgeousness of Maninjau Lake took my breath away.
The air is cool and the area is full of trees.
There are things to do there as well such as flying fox, etc.
A simply must-visit place. SIMPLY AWESOME.

This place is the highest view point near lake Maninjau. It can be reached from Bukittinggi or from Padang. Very beautiful view of the !aninjau lake, Kelok 44, and very fresh air. Very good for refreshing.

Because to get there you need to go thru the Kelok 44 which has a lot of corner, 44 exactly and might get u dizzy, not much to do there since the water full of sulfur, take note that every year the water get the sulfuric acid from the volcanic mount and all the creatures in the water will eventually died, that's what the local told me. Im not sure it's true or not. There's some mystical story about the lake, try to ask from the local.

If you are in the area at Puncak Lawang is a must see. It is one of SE Asias top parasailing take off spots but even without flying your spirits will soar. Mid morning is usually clear and the best light.

Most of the surrounding banana plants had shredded leaves due to the strong wind. Cool and breezy with a stunning view of Lake Maninjau.
