We did not go for sunrise & the lakes still looked amazing! It is a fairly long walk up stairs from the parking lot to another road which leads up to more steps to the peak. We had a very nice hike up early morning,...More

A must do if you are on Flores. We flew from Labuan Bajo to Ende, then had a car transport us to Moni where we stayed overnight. The village of Moni is very close to the start of the hike up to the viewpoint. After...More

Lovely summit, amazing descent (despite the road works). Do take a bag and pick up plastic litter, of which thee is far too much).

Make sure you go early. I think it’s cool to see the 3 crater lakes when the show various colors. I would do some research first to see what colors are showing currently. I think we saw two teal colored craters and one chocolate color....More

Our journey started pre-dawn and on the initial stepped path from the car park a torch was very necessary. Daylight arrived whilst we were on the last section of the climb up to Inspiration Point. We were unfortunate that at sunrise a cloud drifted down...More

We loved the trip and the views of the crater lakes. They are quite accessible, besides the fact the road to Kelimutu is under construction at the moment - beware if you take a motorbike.

Just 15 minutes driving and then 30 minutes walking you will be in the middle of 3 huge crater lakes. All have a different color. Start visiting around 7 o clock and wait for one or two hours. Every time the lake gets different colours.

We caught a taxi up and it was amazing! Missed the sunrise but still so beautiful. We highly reccomend the walk back down to Moni. Took a few hours but was really enjoyable!

We came for the sunrise and were happy we did. Even though it's peak time to visit on the morning we were there I wouldn't say it was crowded, about 40 people in total. We were up at 4am for the 45 minute drive to...More

We took the bus to the parking lot where you have to pay 150.000R to enter. Normally when you hike the volcano normally you should be able to enter free. If not, it’s worth to bargain. The volcano has an easy road up to the...More

Depends on your expectations. It's different in the way that Bromo has no lake, Kawah Putih is one big lake and here you can see 3 lakes from one spot. And if you are lucky they got different colours and with a little sun... More

In my opinion, it's better to go to Kelimutu by plane, because it takes 12 to 13 hours by driving (but actually you can stop by Ruteng to see the famous "Spider-Web Ricefield"). It depends on your preferences. But I think... More
