The landscape is beautiful, life still almost untouched by tourism and the people are extremely friendly. It was a very authentic experience of Lomboks village life away from the crowds. I came to stay one night and could hardly leave after two. You might need a guide to walk along the rice fields. I can highly recommend Edy, who is... More

This waterfall is accessed by a set of steep steps into the valley, it is spectacular but wait until you see the next one along the trail!

Very nice place to visit. We did this with a local guide too because they know the way and they are really helping you! But they gives also additional information and places were you have to look too. Again one of the nice places on Lombok!

Tetebatu is absolutely gorgeous. Surrounded by paddies, plantations and jungle, with the Rinjani towering above it all. The village itself is very low-key, barely any tourism. There's enough mosques though to keep you up at night. We stayed at Hakiki Inn, situated smack in the middle of a ricefield. One of the staff gave us a 20km tour through the... More

After a few days in the heat in Kuta and Gilis it was very refreshing to spend a couple of days in Tetebatu. There is a few waterfalls where you can walk and some good short treks in the plantations. Nice people there and easy access from Mataram or South Lombok.
