Visiting here is a must if you come to Akko. Great site, fascinating story. They do it as a self-guided audio tour. But long, figure 90 minutes, and you don't get a sequential history story. More a series of deep dives focused on certain periods. Just the same well worth it.

Bahai Gardens in Haifa are much more attractive to me but Baha'i shrine outside Acre, Bahji mansion has a great historic meaning and importance to the Bahai religion followers. Beautiful park in Acre is meticulously cultivated and interestingly designed.

while a short drive outside the old city and the port, this absolute gem is a great addition to the visit fo Acre. Try to get there while the inner gardens are open to the public (9-12 daily) , Tale your time and bring a camera!

The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained, but the Haifa ones are much better looking and a bigger place to walk around. I would say these gardens are mainly for the believers and less for tourists...

It's worth a visit, beautiful gardens and a chance to get to know about the Bahai faith. There are three entrances. Bottom gets access to lower terraces and has lost of steps. Middle gets access to the shrine itself (we were able to get inside after removing the shoes but can't be sure it is always accessible). We did not... More

Beautiful views in spite of Haifa's air pollution smog issues. Just a great way to start the day visit .

The Baha'i Gardens are absolutely stunning. We've only been able to walk a few levels the last two times we were there because they very rarely open the entire site. Park at the top and look down when the weather is clear and you can see a lot. Always check their schedule to see if they're open before you go.... More

We walked from Haifa port to the Bahai gardens, it was a bit of a hike and there were about 85 steps up to it, there are other routes and there are taxi's waiting to take you back at a price of course. Beautiful gardens, peaceful and beautiful terraces and hanging gardens.Certainly worth the walk. Be aware these gardens shut... More

My daughter and I have seen the gardens before and wanted my husband to see them. We couldn't get access to the shrine as pilgrims were visiting, but from the top road, the gardens pan out beautifully and enable a keen photographer to take some stunning shots
