Kikar Kedumim is a nice place of Jaffa, located at the very center of the old city. IMHO, the main thing there is a viewing point. Invest some time to visit - great views of Jaffa and Tel Aviv make it worth while of doing so.

Read my detailed information about "Old City Jaffa", which in short says; go over there during the day to visit galleries and memorabilia stores and stay away from the mediocre restaurants...

Come to Jaffa, enjoy all that old city can give to u, and then come to the Kikar Kedumim ,and choose one of the perfect restaurants, situated here - Avraj or Kalamata - order fish and have a good time.

We have been visiting Jaffa for the last forty years and have seen its fortunes rise and wane and now rise again. After years of closed boutiques and tired restaurants, Kikar Kedumim is suddently alive again with new shops, ice cream bars, new constructioin and best of all, crowds of people, both locals and tourists. It is a destination once again and happily so.

Whether you want it or not, you will get to the Kedumim square probably more than once during the course of any walk tour of old Jaffa. It's busy most of the time with stellars, occasional players and artists and many tourists. Don't miss the adjacent church or the view of the Andromeda rock accessible through a passage north of one of the restaurants on the western edge of the square. If you are with kids, let them climb the old cannons on the north side of the square

I have walked along here before, enjoying the history, the St. Peter's Church (attended Mass there in Sept. '17), the vendors' displays, & finally, great ice cream there, all in the evening, but very safe, even alone. This visit was during the day, & equally as enjoyable, w/such beautiful views & historic insights of our guide.

This small but unbelievable piazza brings to life Ancient Jaffa and it's ancient port. The see-view is fantastic - down there is the old fisher mens' port, with boats coming and going (also a view of Andromeda's Rock in the distance), in the middle stays the Historical Museum of Jaffa, which traces it's 3000 history, and the small but lovely Gur Museum. One may wander in the ancient allies, visit the art galleries, eat in the great restaurants, experience the unique "Please Touch" institute where meals are served by blind waiters, in complete darkness. There is a great church in the Piazza, a very old synagogue, interest shops (antiques, and modern jewelry) - and last, but no least - a fantastic view of Tel Aviv.
