- John K1 contributionThe tour was educational. The lunch was not good. The tour is very educational. It recreates life at the time of Christ. The recreated synagogue turns the biblical account alive. The lunch was relatively good: the locally baked bread was tasty and crunchy, the lentile soup was simple lacking spices and flavors, the chicken thigh was undercooked and not edible! Overall: The tour was perfect, the food was not good at all!Visited May 2023Travelled with friendsWritten May 16, 2023

The village is set up as a replica as they what a typical village would like in the time if Jesus. It was slightly cheesy with staff dressed up as villagers so you could take selfies with them. But our guide was amazing and was so passionate about sharing his faith and explaining what life would have been like. We all left feeling inspired with a much better idea of what some of the parables meant having seen a potter and weaver in action.

We visited this site as part of a tour group and spent a bit over an hour touring. We were given one of their guides who walked us through the property and explained what the various actors were doing. It was interesting to see the building and farming methods used anciently; as far as I'm aware everything was historic as it would have been in the time that Jesus lived there. The visit was a neat opportunity to glimpse what the past might have looked like.

Loved this village and the wonderful storytelling of our guide, Daniel. Very good communicator, educating us on 1st century life and Jesus. Very well done and I would recommend to those in Nazareth. This is not just for kids, great for adults too!

This is a recreation of a 1st century village and there are actors dressed up in period costumes and there are recreations of some old houses, olive press, and a synagogue. There is an original wine press and place where they made clay for pottery.
It was just a bit odd as it's supposed to be a first century village, but the whole time you are overlooked by and can see modern higher rise buildings and you can always hear car horns. The tour was a little bit Jesus and bible heavy and at the end they worked you for extra donations.
It's worth visiting to see for yourself

Hi, I remember it is a tour package only, there is not a separate fee for just Admin without tour. It is the best to be guided by the people that runs the Nazareth village, it is not an "outside" tour guild, it is the people who works there, or it is a volunteers that is all over the world that guild the tour. If you have children it is a MUST to go with a tour guild, so many bible stories and reference to bible verses etc. I hope this helps.

I am driving from Tel Aviv and do not have a lot of time to linger around (due to tight itinerary). Having read all the reviews, i would still like to visit this place on-route to Galilee. What is the realistic time that I should optimally plan? Thanks for your kind advice.

For anyone travelling from Tel-Aviv there are a few way to get to the Nazareth Village:
1. Train from Tel-Aviv to Haifa Lev HaMifratz and then the 331 Bus line.
2. 826/827 Bus from the Tel-Aviv central bus station which passes through Nazareth.
3. Taxi - which is very expensive.
