I had the privilege of leading the ceremony for 5 couples who wanted to renew their wedding vows at the place where Jesus attended a wedding and turned the water into the BEST wine.

This beautiful church. We had the blessing of renewing our marriage vows which was performed by a very good and a joyful priest. We had the full service and it was a real spiritual experience. We are so very grateful to father George. It is...More

This is a lovely church and is beautifully maintained. Take time to visit the grotto underneath where you will see a replica of one of the Jar’s similar to the one spoken in the Miracle at Cana where Jesus turned water into wine.

Unlike other sites in Israel, Cana does not offer much to help you connect to its Biblical roots. Although Cana of Galilee is where Jesus performed His first miracle of turning water into wine, nothing in the village commemorates that event.

Cana was a village that visited by Jesus during the time of a wedding. The wine had run out during the festivities and Jesus volunteered to turn water into wine. To this day in the Catholic church, pre-marriage education and counseling are called pre-Cana classes.

The location of water to wine miracle. They have a jug (looks like a hole in a rock) they claim is the actual jug used by Jesus to perform the miracle. Then across the alley is a store selling wine as a souvenir.

The first miracle of Jesus was preformed at a wedding in Cana. Many tours point it out, but drive by. I think it is a good and important stop, so ask your guide about it. Don't miss the opportunity to see everything in the neighbourhood...!...More

You can't come to Israel and not see Cana. The Church is pretty enough and there is no better place to renew your vows.

Greetings Commuting between cities in Israel is hassle free. You should be able to make it if you have at least 4 hours for the 180km drive (one way). In other words, you need a whole day for the trip and the ceremony.
