I absolutely love the Galil and went on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee (again). This was my second visit and the place is so serene and beautiful. One of my most favourite places in all of Israel

A beautiful lake, with lovely views of Tiberias. Visit one of the 'beach/swimming' sites that are equipped with changing areas if you are interested in taking a quick dip in the warm waters.

The beautiful blue waters of the Sea of Galilee are breathtaking. Even on a sunny day, there's a bit of a choppiness to the water, and it's easy to see how a storm could come up and Jesus walk on the water here. We took...More

Lovely lake, you can see how far the level it has dropped. Some days it gets very windy. If going in the water suggest rock booties since it is very rocky by Tiberias.

This was a spectacular experience as part of our Israel tour. We were on the water for about 90 minutes on a picture perfect day. The crew even piped us aboard with the Star Spangled Banner, as we were from the US. Plenty of shade...More

The Sea of Galilee is a must see. Steeped in history, lined with shops and restaurants, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I waded in and let the water wash over my feet, transfixed by the views and my thoughts... What an experience! Actually, twice- once in Tiberias at the small public access beachfront south of the boardwalk and once at the more idyllic beach in front...More

If you are a Christian in Israel, you need to include this in your iteniary. Sitting quietly on the boat, I don't think I have ever felt Jesus Christ's presence quite like that.

We had an amazing experience with a private tour of Capernaum and the Galilee region. Mr. Elion Beja, our guide from Kenes Tours gave an amazing historical perspective of each site we visited as well as some quiet time to wander on our own. Fantastic...More

There is a lot to see at the Sea of Galilee, but you can do it all in a day and a half or two days, tops. We enjoyed all the churches and museums. It was really hot, so if traveling in the summer, plan...More

What is the best option to get to here from Caesarea on a Saturday (unfortunately)? Or would it just be best for me to stay the night in Caesarea and leave early morning? Thank you.---Brian

Hi. If you are driving you can get to Caesarea from there- but we went everywhere by coach, so it was easy. I don't think that you would need to spend the night in Caesarea. Hope that helps.

I was there Oct '16 at the end of a hot summer. Many 'no swimming' signs, many people ignoring them. I didn't swim myself, but the water was a very pleasant temp. There were designated swimming places at popular beaches.
Hi Can I get the bus from Jerusalem to the Sea of Galilee? Is it easy to do on your own and not part of a tour? Thanks
