There are lots of boats leaving from the Marine Charter. The Catamaran launched by a company called Masons looked like the best tour. We booked through 7 South which included transfers from hotel, lunch, snorkelling for 120 Euro each. I would consider this to be an expensive trip and would consider other options. I would suggest hiring a small car... More

We traveled to Moyenne Island via cruise boat with a large group of people. The island is 4.5 kilometres (2.8 mi) away from the main island of Mahe. Besides the history of island, the island hosts around 120 big tortoises. They roam around the island freely. It is small island and you can have a round trip of island via... More

Other than the history of the island- seeing all those giant tortoises walking around freely, the great views and great walk around the island- including a nice beach for a swim

We have travelled to the Seychelles on several occasions and always visit Moyenne Island. We were lucky to be able to speak to Mr Brendan Grimshaw on previous occasions, he had done so much for the Island during the years he was there. We miss seeing him.

As with most visitors, we stopped here as part of a small group on a day trip organised by a tour company (Teddy's Glass Bottom boat in our case). We had a short walk around the island, up to the graves of Grimshaw and his father before heading back down to the Jolly Roger restaurant for lunch. The island itself... More

We hitched a boatride from James (who lives on Isle de Cerf - contact the L'Habitation Hotel (+248 278 1311) for James number). He dropped us off, stopping on a local reef for some snorkelling from the boat en route (which was fantastic also) and picked us up at an agreed time later in the day. We took our lunch... More

We visited Moyenne island as part of a glass bottom boat tour. It is an interesting island with an interesting story and with giant tortoises roaming the walking trails. My sons enjoyed stroking the tortoises neck and the views from the trail too. The BBQ lunch we had on the beach was delicious as well. I could have spent several... More
