Grande Soeur is a privately owned island by Chateau de Feuilles and during weekends access is permitted only to hotel guests. We have visited the island as part of our snorkeling trip to Coco and Felicite. The landing fee is 500 Rs pp, we have enjoyed a nice bbq on the beach and we have explored the island at our pace. There are giant tortoises roaming freely on the island and the beach located on eastern side is picture perfect but during north-western tradewinds the currents and waves can make your life miserable. My wife has left a souvenir to the fish, the waves were so strong that took her sunglasses and we couldn’t find them. There are wooden tables on the western beach and the island is also offering toilet facilities. We spent roughly 1.5 hrs year and it was a nice break from snorkeling.…

Went to Big Sisters during a snorkeling excursion from La Digue. It was our first stop and the best. Though Seychelles has lost a significant amount of coral in the past few years, Big Sister still has a good amount and it is FULL of fish. We snorkeled for almost an hour and it was breathtaking. Many varieties of fish, who are completely unafraid of people swimming among them. We also say Manta Rays and a small shark (3 kinds of shark are in the area - white fin, black fin, and nurse shark). We didn't go onto the island, as it's private for those staying there, but the snorkeling trip is highly recommended. From La Digue, it was a 20 minute speedboat trip to Big Sister, and then we went to 2 other islands for snorkeling as well.…

You can’t help but put very good as the beaches are like 99% of the Seychelles beaches as they’re all stunning. You can walk with the islands giant tortoise which is also an amazing thing. However the amount of the island you can walk around is very restricted so don’t go expecting to see lots of wildlife or birds as you’ll be disappointed. One beach is very rough so not swimmable but the other is good for snorkelling but not the best in the area. Add to that the cost of visiting as there’s a landing fee which we felt was quite high. Especially since we felt there were better free options to visit, so we left disappointed and would rush to go back. …

It is important to note that there are also seasons in Seychelles as everywhere on earth! And sometimes it is possible that one of our two beaches is less beautiful. The price is 500 SCR per person which is no exaggeration: The interior of our island is a real EDEN, indeed there are many land turtles all at large! There are also endemic birds , ... facilities and access to the second beach through the park which is maintained every day !!!
