There is a laid parking ok outside but after a certain time it is free. We arrived there later in the day so there was no fee and plenty of parking. There is suggested donation to enter but you don’t really have to donate anything....More

This a really nice museum in Albany. A lot of diferent expositions. If you are visiting with children, don’t miss the carrousel in 4th floor

The 1st good thing is that there is no charge for the New York State museum. They have a donation kiosk which I contribute to every time period right now they have the women's suffragette history exhibit I think everybody, especially young girls, should go...More

While I didn't thinit was very scary, I very much enjoyed the stories about the haunted peoplewho are often sighted around the building. Worth the admission fee to see the splendor this architectual wonder.

We did not stay in the downtown area due to cost, but we did arrive downtown early in the day and easily parked at the New York State Museum visitor parking ($10 for the day). The parking lot did fill by mid/late morning... More
