The Historic Ten Broeck Mansion in Albany, New York was built in 1798 by Brigadier General Abraham Ten Broeck and his wife, Elizabeth Van Rensselaer. Currently maintained by and Albany County Historical Association, tours of the home are available May - October, Thursday and Friday beginning at 10am and occurring on the hour, final tour at 3pm, and Saturday and Sunday beginning on the hour at 1pm with the final tour at 3pm. The incredible Ten Broeck Gardens, maintained by the volunteer Master Gardeners of the Cornell Cooperative Extension are open year round, dawn to dusk.

I've lived in Albany for 35 years and grew up going to aeaster egg hunts there. I still venture there to enjoy the gardens.

What an historic gem in Albany. The mansion was bedazzled with Christmas decorations and the well-informed volunteers were eager to share the history of the estate. So pleased we were a part of the Dutch Holiday celebration.
