Wasn’t crowded when we arrived about 1:15 on a Friday for a light lunch. It's just a short walk from the visitor's center and has an authentic, “pubby” feel, kind of dark, rough hewn and loud rock music played. Our waitress was friendly and helped...More

It’s about a 3 ½ mile walk to view all twenty of the Nipper dog statues scattered around downtown Albany. That can build up quite a thirst. So as we finished our tour ‘d canine where we started, in front of the Olde English Pub...More

A quaint English-style pub in beautiful 19th century brick building near the Hudson River. Authentic pub-style decorations. Great selection of beers from the British Isles. Nice beer garden. Although we didn't eat there, the menu was in keeping with the pub theme. Fun place.

Food was good and atmosphere was good. Couldn't ask for much else- considering there isn't much else downtown. Made the best of it and this place was well worth the stop. Very busy but service was good too.

When we went for dinner yesterday we weren't sure what to expect. Yet as soon as we walked into the backyard patio we were part of a magical cozy environment. The menu was limited but I settled on a burger and my husband the fish...More
