Small theater with wonderful deserts. The staff is always friendly and the place is kept clean. Down side it can be cold in spots in the middle of winter (bring a sweater)

We went here for the first time in a long time with movie pass cards, which was very easy because you dont have to wait in the ticket line and you can go right up to the guy/gal taking tickets and he/she scans your phone....More

The theatre was a nice experience of an older style theatre. There were maybe 40 seats in my screening and it was a nice change from the frigid stadiums that are most theatres. Some people criticize the price but it is the least expensive ticket...More

Theater becoming more and more like mall theaters, with overpriced tickets, long lines for tickets, refreshments and lavatories, and, increasingly dull movie fare. Parking often difficult, too. Theater used to be only one worth going to, but decline that began some years ago, is gaining...More

Great place for a date. Theater has a lot of character. Has the best chocolate cake ever. Conveniently located.

The Spectrum has been our favorite theater since they first opened in Rensselaer in the early 80s. They have always had the best films, the best popcorn and the best snacks. We probably see a film there once a week, sometimes more often. The only...More

Seemed like a quiet neighborhood with safe parking out back. Inside felt like an old theater yet trendy coffee shop vibe. Seats were very comfortable, sound/screen were good. Late movie; very few people (aka no noisy teens!) Bathroom needs update. Can't rate concessions; didn't buy.

This movie theater has mainstream movies and some that don't always make the chain theaters, maybe because it has a social commentary or political theme. Also some artsy type movies. The cost is less than the chains and the snack bar is a cut above...More
