About
I worked for the international airlines, hotels and studied hotel management in Montreux, Switzerland. Also, I did my internship in Greece. This worldwide background made me a kind of international person who likes to exchange the cultures. 'Bapsang' means Korean traditional dining table in Korean. While you have Korean food on the table after the cooking, you will not only taste the delicious Korean cousin, but also will experience Korean culture.

When you do a cooking class, you hope for good food, gracious hosts, and to learn about local culture. Bapsang Cooking class was absolutely perfect on all three!

Good English, able to accommodate my dietary needs on short notice (we are gluten free and booked the day before). Minkyung and Minsun were patient, funny, and kind. The location is a little hard to find, but they shared a picture of the Google maps with a pin which made it much easier.

We made Bibimbap, Medical Chili paste, potato pancakes, and seaweed soup. Then we finished with rice snacks, dried fruit, and tea. Everything was delicious and Min had bought the ingredients fresh from the market in the morning.

Highly recommend this cooking class because it is more private, personable, and intimate. A must do when in Busan!

Min was so warm, knowledgeable, and personable, and a great teacher. Her English is also excellent. We got to wear special historical palace aprons, learn the traditional way of making soy sauce, and compare different soy sauces. Every detail was perfect. She even showed us exactly how to hold the utensils, the dishes, and the special tea cups. I I love to cook and I learned so much from her, like exactly the color the item should achieve or when to flip the pancake. Plus we had some wonderful conversations about her travels, Korean A/C, adoption, cats. etc. The morning we spent in her home was one of the highlights of our entire trip!

Min was as absolute pleasure. She is not only an excellent cook, but was very knowledgeable about Korean cooking, cuisine, and table traditions. The class was well organized and informative, and the food turned out delicious. I can’t wait to try these recipes back home.
Min made us feel welcome and was very kind and engaging throughout our time together. I highly recommend this class!

Excellent. We did not just do the cooking but Min told us plenty of stories about the history of Korea how certain other dishes are being made and we generally had a wonderful time.
Min was a wonderful host, she does a lot of fermentation on her own and therefore we had the pleasure of tasting plenty of different kinds of things, in addition to our three course menu

A short walk from the nearest subway station takes you (almost literally!) to the heights of quality Korean Cooking. The address on our confirmation page was clear and precise, but didn't mention it was on the 24th floor... (Don't worry, the lobby of the building has some helpful staff.)
Min, our host/teacher/mentor/guide was excellent. She was able to teach a mixed ability class with clear information, good English, depth of knowledge and humour.
We all participated in firstly preparing and cooking a seaweed soup (simple and delicious!) We then began preparing two more dishes from the fresh ingredients already weighed out in front of us.
The six of us in the group shared holiday highlights during thepreparation- the wonderful view of the city seafront was a definite highlight!
Min checked our knife skills and showed us exactly what was required for each dish. We were all meat eaters without allergies, but Min mentioned that provided she was informed beforehand, she can alter the dies to suit any client's needs.
Enough words - what about the food? The pancake I made was delicious, but mine didn't look so good. I've therefore cheated and used a picture a friendly Dutch guy made.
The Bimbap however is mine. Also, in my opinion, delicious too.
Min helped us to a low table and showed us how to eat Korean style. (A 'normal' table is available for those who would have difficulty in kneeling or sitting cross-leged)
In three hours we were entertained, educated, enthralled, and enthused.
The skills learned will greatly help me prepare a similar banquet for family and friends.
Thank you so much Min!

Authentic and enjoyable Five-Star cooking experience, easy 10 minute walking distance to Westin Josan hotel and Haeundae Beach. The best activity on my tour of Korea. Must go, don’t miss it!!! Learn about bibimbap and Korean customs. Min (the chef and hostess) is thoughtful and caring. Her love for cooking and sharing Korean culture shows through her excellent presentation. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

The host was very inviting and friendly. The kitchen and eating area was small but clean and reasonably tidy. The cooking instructions were clear and easy to follow. The menu was basic but the food we cooked was tasty. I didn't know the other guests but the host learnt all our names quickly and made it an entertaining morning. A cup of tea and a sweet treat was served to end our experience.
