Unless you have a particular interest in ancient ice storage, I would spend time on the many other attractions at Gyeongju. It might be more impressive if you travel in a season other than winter, because it was freezing outside as well!

Not far from anapji, it is interesting to see how ancient Korean people kept things cool in summer. Go into and cave, you will feel cool there.

Easy to find and the explanation is informative... add it to your list of attractions to see in Gyeongju.

We stumbled on this when we were walking around Gyeongju and were pleasantly surprised by it. There isn't too much to see, but it sparked discussions about ice and food storage before refrigeration.
