The hexagonal columns are formed when the lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the sea of Jungmun. A very unique geographical feature. Scenery of the cliff and ocean is also breathtaking and worth a visit. There are ladies selling raw seafood in the park and also a few shops at the entrance. Note that the park closes early about 520 pm in the autumn.

The view at this site is beautiful! During ancient times, lava from the Hallasan volcano flowed to the sea and was rapidly cooled by sea water to form unique polygon shaped columns by a cliff at the edge of the coast. Constant waves crashing against the cliff and the calm of the sea provides a great view on a clear day to warm the soul. The neighboring park around the viewing deck is not big and can be completed to about 30 mins.

There is a small fee at the entrance to what appears to be a park area. A short walk brought me to the lookout point to take some photos. I recommend going near sunset.

These cliffs formed when Hallasan erupted and lava flowed to the sea. When the lava hit the sea, the contrast in temperatures caused the rock to form hexagonal columns, giving us this beautiful view! This is a really neat sight to see, but you don’t need to linger. It’s a great place to stop on your way to the waterfalls. Parking is cheap and plentiful.

Jusangjeolli Cliff, designated as a natural monument of Jeju Island, is the largest columnar-jointed lava in South Korea. It was formed due to the sudden cooling of lava from the Hallasan Mountain, which erupted into the sea of Jungmun, thousands of years ago. Witnessed a picturesque view of the sea and the cliff. I recommend not wearing any hat or cap when you visit Jusangjeolli Cliff as the wind is strong there.

I've visited this place many times and every time I love it. So pretty, the best view and a really nice garden as well. The only downside is the strong wind so I don't recommend any hats and warm clothes!

We were amazed by the hexagonal shaped columns of the cliff here. There are well-maintained boardwalks that one takes to the cliffside. We were there around sunset and the views out into the ocean is superb.

It was a cold, sunny day, but the landscape in this area was just awesome! There is a boardwalk lookout point where different landscapes could be viewed on each end. Definitely worth checking out!

Another spectacular volcanic rock. Is a beautiful nature creation. Cold and Windy when you visit this place during winter.
Nice places for photography. Is also the filming scene of the famous Korean drama "Dae Jang Geum", where Lady Han of Dae Jang Geum passed away.
