bio diversity, mangrooves, and many birds, it has historical value of dutch canel system. it goes back to 17 c. a.d during the dutch period .and made to transport goods.

One of the better sights in Negombo (this town does not have many). You can walk alongside it for many miles to avoid the busy streets. Pitty the water is heavily polluted. Could be an amazing place if taken care off

Had a good boat ride .lots to see in the canal.lots of beautiful views to see.kind peoples.many local activitys we could find in this dutch canal.and relaxing

It was a very pleasant boat ride down the Dutch canal to the river and lagoon. We saw many geckos, herons and salamander s. It's refreshing and we enjoyed it very much.

For me not worth visiting. It was nice just walking by, but nothing special to see. For me it's just there, just as in the picture.

Interesting from the fact that the Dutch built a 200Km long canal down the coast for transporting goods. However it is not pretty and is absolutely full of rubbish like a dustbin.

Yes used Asda tours, reliable and nice people who want to make sure you see their country. I would use them again.
