Great architecture on these 4 pylons. One is original and the other 3 reconstructed. Was a major intersection in the old city of Palmyra and can be seen from various vantage points around the site. Quite impressive and worth a photo. I visited here in April 2011 as the uprising began.

This hotel was ok but not remarkable. It was situated very well nearby the ruins and the central street with souvenir shops and restaurants (We really liked the restaurants Pancake House and Casa Mia). Breakfast was served for us alone and when we left very early the second morning, breakfast was packed to take with us.
