Very scenic. Most people come for a day's trip from Taipei. We went with a tour with our Hualien B&B. Pickup and dropped from lodging at NT700 per pax. Because it's with a 19pax group, we took 6hrs and completed the standard stops, includes numerous photographing shots and a half an hour trek. Lunch at a cafe costing NT230 for... More

Taroko Gorge is a sight not to be missed when in Taiwan, many of the views are truly breathtaking. There had been a lot of rain the week prior to our visit and the Liwu River was really flowing. The road through the gorge is part of the Central Cross-Island Highway, and despite the name is not what you would... More

The Taroko Gorge is wild, spellbinding, and a time terrifying. To walk some of the flimsy walking trails along the sides of the gorge can test ones fears plus their stamina. It matches or exceeds anything similar I have seen around the world, including the Swiss and Italian Alps.

No words to describe this natural beauty! Having visited the Swiss Alps the Taroko Gorge has the same effect on you, it literally take your breath away! It's made of marble, which you can so vividly see everywhere as well as limestone. We really liked having a tour guide with us because we were able to learn a lot about... More

One of my favorite places in hualien so far, really pretty for those who like nature. Unfurtunately I did not had a lot of time to explore, actually just one day, which I just went to the turist store? Located next to the train station, if you need a guild that speaks in english, is better to book before otherwise... More

I have to write this review to Thank Tonny. He is not just a car driver but a tourist guide and a helpful english speaking local as well. Some things I will guarantee you about Tony. 1. He will encourage you to explore Taroko to the fullest. I remember he challenged us to hike the temple with a huge bell... More

Good walking trail with beautiful views of the gorges and river. The walking trail is partly paved by used train tracks, which is quite unique. It can be crowded and noisy on weekends.

taroko is a amazing place, the mountain there is grand and huge!there is some trail you must to walk, like baying or lushui trail can try it,noneed to spend many time can have awesome view! If you got a license to ride a motobike or scooter, rent it!you can experience in first line!!
