Continued to the lighthouse from the storeland. Was closed when i arrived but it would be a nice place to enter and take photos if its open. I would recommend that you rent a double electrical bicycle (with a sunshade on top) and take it for a spin along the beach. Highlight of my trip to Qijing.

I came here at night and there is nothing to see, which seems a contradiction in terms. The light radiating is very weak and can barely be seen from the harbour. The lighthouse itself is completely obscured, so to see it, you will have to climb to the compound when the grounds are open during the day. At night, there... More

A quaint lighthouse about 30min stroll from the entrance of the Cijin island town. You can rent a bicycle but will still have to park it at the bottom of the cliff on which the lighthouse is located at. From there it's a steep uphill climb with a lower lookout point on the way up. The lighthouse itself is small... More

It's a bit of a trek to the top of the hill in order to see this lighthouse, but despite the hot and sweaty weather it's worth it for the view out over Kaohsiung and the pretty little lighthouse at the top. Takes about 10 mins to get here from the base.

It is a bit tricky to find unless you are with a local, as you need to go over the harbour ferry ($25 each way) and then walk through the town. It's quite a climb up there, and day I went was very hot and sticky so it was a bit of an effort. At the top there were some... More

The lighthouse was located at the top of the hill. It glances the coastal of Qijin. But if may not suitable for elderly or people with disabilities as there were steps and slopes to climb before reaching the lighthouse.

The hike up is short, but during the summer where temperatures hit the high 30s celsius in the mid morning, you might want to reconsider. You have to park your bikes at the beginning of the slope up to the lighthouse. The views up there are just average, shows the port of Kaohsiung and the coastline. Would recommend only if... More

The Cihou Lighthouse and the Fort can be combined with a lovely hike up the small hill that overlooks and reward you with amazing views of Kaohsiung and the ocean.
