On Lotus Pond - walked out to this one and enjoyed the scenery up and down the pier looking back to the shore. Tiny peninsula to the right as you approach the monument with ducks, chickens, geese, swans. Outside is impressive but on the inside there's weirdness going on. You should definitively visit Lotus lake when you are in Kaohsiung. This is one of the many temples, statues at the lake. Very photo genetic, especially when the sun is going down. Nice view on the town.

Also located on Lotus Lake, and within walking distance around the pond, this is another worth seeing. Love the larger than life monument.

We walked down the street to visit the temples. We came across this gigantic statue. My friends explained who this god was and I found the whole thing interesting. There's a fortune telling machine (think Taiwanese "Big") for those who can read Chinese.
