It's just a small temple within the heart of Taichung. There's a big laughing buddha within the temple compound. The original temple is already old and is covered with a bigger structure to protect it from the elements. Though it's small, it's a busy one and most of the time, you can see/hear services being held. A good place to... More

The Giant statue of Buddha is impressive and can be seen from the neighbor streets. What I found unique here is that the Buddha statue is not inside a building. The temple’s building located nearby the statue is nice. The temple worth a stop to visit.

This temple is a must see. The Buddha is the biggest I have ever seen. The temple at this location are nicely maintained and many people are meditating in the proximity. Be quiet, respectful and take in this experience nearby the gigantic statue!

The premise housed a Temple, a Columbarium, and a charming Buddha Statue. We visited on a Sunday morning and it was rather quiet. And we came here mainly to get a photo with the 7th storey high statue, certainly enjoyed it. The windows located around the statue were interesting designs too. The temple actually looked quite old and there was... More

The large Buddha statue is a must-see. This is one of those somewhat lesser-known attractions, so you shouldn't have to worry about crowds. This is definitely a place to visit for pictures.

You wouldn't know from the street, but as you come in, your temple views give way to the giant Golden Buddha. A must-see for tourists and locals. Since parking is typically problematic in Taichung, walk or take the bus, but well-worth it.

Well, here you can see three things: the huge statue, the temple and the burial site. All of them really well preserved and taken care of. All in one place, so it's really worth it

It's a Huge Laughing Buddha in the city and you won't miss it if travelling in the city. Free entrance. Is good to spend sometime there and relax.

It is a pretty big Buddha. We took a quick look around the temple area but after a while they all start to look the same unfortunately. Worth a glance if your passing through.
