We went here on a Saturday and it was not overrun by visitors. It has different exhibitions over three floors and is very cheap for what they offer! A certain area near the entrance is dedicated to kids. The main exhibition about the evolution of life is very busy. However you should take the time to also visit the other... More

We arrived an hour before closing so we only had a chance to visit the main exhibition and not the special one. Fortunately their ticket prices are different and the main exhibits were on the cheaper end. The space is small - expect to spend less than an hour - but they have three floors of exhibits covering astronomy, superconductors,... More

Visited here during our stay in Taichung as my partner had fond childhood memories of visiting here. The museum is good fun, with lots of interesting exhibitions celebrating Chinese scientific history as well as your usual array of exhibits for dinosaurs, animals, anthropology, etc. For mandarin readers, there shouldn't be any issues but I was really disappointed by the inconsistent... It's a place contains with so many interesting exhibitions along with science. Most of all, a dinosaur hall is the best experience to visit with family and children. In different duration, there will be different theme of special exhibition, you may check on official website to know further. Besides, there's also a theater you may watch short film and 3D... Huge museum with beautiful exhibits depicting animals and teaches you about different categories such as history, science. Love the dinosaur exhibits and the life science museum. Forget about the mini zoo as it is really small and showing mainly fishes. Very baby friendly with nice staff who help to navigate and watch over the breastfeeding room. Must go for families... This museum is so great that my children all wanted to visit on each of their return to Taichung even though they being living overseas for 20 years now!
