I have been to this night market several times over the past 8 years it is worth a visit to sample local food. I am not a shopper but there were many thing to buy if that's your thing. Do not compare this market to the large ones in Taipei, it great for this area.

When you first alight at Tao Yuan International Airport, this is the stop you have go to! The night market is a preview of what is about to come if you are travelling around. There is the night market which for mostly local people. There are many small shops and various stalls who provide traditional Taiwanese dishes. But it is difficult to get the beers.

If your looking to buy trinkets etc it's no impressive, if your looking to experience local culture & good it's great. Sat with the locals eating the local food. Delicious and best of all clean, no sore tummies. Particularly liked the pork dumplings!

We boarded a bus at taoyuan station to go to taoyuan night market at beipu road only to find that we were left with big bills after donating the small bills and coins at the temple. We managed to find NTD30 from the pockets and were still NTD27 short. A very kind, middle aged couple offered us NTD30 to help... More
