This crater is within Arusha National Park at the foot of Mount Maru. The crater can only be viewed from the rim.It looks a bit swarm area. A bit of waste of time!

the view is great and shows how big this NP is! We slept at the edge of it and over viewing it in the evening or early morning is beautiful as well.

It is truly animal kingdom. One realises how we human beings have killed our fellow living being of this planet. One enjoys to watch so many animals roaming freely with out any fear. We should more such places on this Earth. Great experience. Must visit...More

This was a nice preview of the Ngorongoro Crater. Greener, and therefore more difficult to spot wildlife because of vegetation also because you can't drive down into it as you can when you visit Ngorongoro

I visited the crater recently escorted by our naturalist / guide Andrew. We saw lots of animals. I got great pictures of the elephants that posed for us. And a hyena eating its lunch.

The crater was packed full of Safari-mobiles which stirred up a lot of dust. Saw many zebras, wildebeests, hyenas; a few lions, hippos, a black rhino, elephants. Maybe we just came on an "off" day for the animals, but I much preferred the open areas...More

Beautiful small fertile crater with a great variety of wildlife. Baboons, buffalos, many beautiful varieties of birds. Do not miss the high observation point and be sure to allocate at least 20 minutes to visit the small free museum close to the observation point. The...More

One of the most beautiful places I've ever had to visit. It was such an amazing experience. If you visit our beautiful country, the crater isn't a place to miss.

Amazing visit to the crater, which starts with a chilly bumpy ride along the crater rim through a rain forest. Then you start to descend and you can see the plains and the lakes before you. We spotted some lions right near the bottom of...More

A huge crater with lots of the animals you would hope to see on a safari. We visited as part of a multi-day safari package.

I used African Brothers. I panned the trip for almost a year and they were very knowledgeable and the price was more then fair, I have no hesitancy in recommending them.
