A beautifully kept part of Thai history without any frills, pomp or pageantry. Everything you'd expect to find in a holiday shack but on a scale reflecting the status of the King of Siam.

A really nice place to visit. With the cool breeze , lovely garden and magnificent architecture. Love the greenery surrounding and the beach nearby. Although not allowed to walk on the beach, walking along the pathway between the beach and palace was great and pleasantly.

Very pleasant visit of this palace. Located on the beach, this magnificent palace on stilts is a visit not to be missed. Beautiful architecture and soft colors. Pity not to have been able to visit inside because of works.

On our passing Chinese New Year's holiday, we had travelled to Cha-am and Hua Hin for 3 days 2 nights. As we had stayed at The Regent Cha-am Beach Resort, it was very near the palace. Around 5 minutes, we arrived to the gate of Pra Ram 6 Camp (ค่ายพระราม 6) and we the banner of Mrigadayawan Palace (พระราชนิเวศน์มฤคทายวัน) was... More

Unexpectatly the palace itself was not open to the public when we arrived (after paying the entrance fee). Nice gardens and beachfront. Lots of souvenir shops near parking.

This is a nice place to stop by, but it does not take long to see it all and there is not really that much to do except walk through the palace and look into several of the rooms.. Some history and descriptions are provided by signs, but no that much. Maybe a tour guide could help?

This is the former king's summer palace, not to be confused with the current one which you can't visit. It is entirely built of teak around 1925. Long huge open air walkways with various corners filled in as suites of rooms. Long before aircon and yet built in an amazing design that is cool. Right on the beach in beautiful... More
