Saw this awesome temple as part of a group tour booked through our guesthouse. The beauty of this was that our guide pointed us in the right direction to see the cool artwork. Although hard to miss from the outside the modern art is almost...More

Probably our second best day out in Chiang Rai. The artists are obviously extremely talented, tip, go behind and see them work!

This is the coolest temple of them all. I have nothing more to say really. The mix of pop culture with tradition in this glimmering white temple... slightly macabre. Pay attention to the details in the work!

Amazing temple. Fantastic place to see and take some great photos. BUT the idiots in charge blow their whistle and yell at you as soon as you take a step backwards. So if you are taking photos and plan on skipping a place you want...More

We took local bus from the old bus terminal just 5 mins away from the night bazaar. It's definitely a very good experience and the bus fare is just 20 batt. Tell the money collector you want to drop off at white temple and she...More

This is such an amazing bit of architecture. We enjoyed walking around and photographing all aspects of this temple. Amazing workmanship and so very worth the trip.

Wat Rong Khun is definitely a must visit when you're in Chiang Rai but beware - if you hate touristy spots, definitely it is not your cup of tea. Was being pushed by unethical tourists and didn't even have a good spot for picture.

Amazing!!! My visit to Wat Rong Khun was unbeatable. Pictures do this temple no justice. You have to see it for yourself! Make sure to wear long pants when you visit if you are a female.

The White temple is not at Chiang Mai its at Chiang Rai a little over 3 hours away. I would recommend you take the government bus to Chiang Rai and from there take a taxi. The government bus has 3 classes, take the highest... More

I'm not sure of the pre-history of the white temple location. I believe it is a actual temple. You are required to cover up, remove shoes and hats like all the other wats we visited The place is not finished yet. They are... More
