We got here a part of a hiking package with Coconut Tours, but one could self-bundle a tour with a tuk-tuk to Wat Rong Khun. We didn't see any drive-by taxis or tuktuks, so you'd want to hire a driver to stick around. On a weekday afternoon there were few other parties in the parking lot and trail to the... More

We decided to visit the waterfall on a whim while we were around Chiang Rai. In a dress and flip flops, it was a bit of a hike but completely worth it. The serenity of the place was probably the best place we visited in Thailand. The waterfall is quite high and powerful, so don't expect you will be able... More

The waterfall was reached after a hike of about 1-1/2 kms on a well maintained trail. The trail is shaded so one need not worry about the sun. It was gratifying that there was no admission fee.

You pay zero (yea, zero) bahts to enter this park and you can go up a significant way uphill with car or motorbike. After some point, you have to walk about 1.5 km though the jungle, which was one of the coolest things I did in my life. Although I sweated like a dog and I was tired at the... More

Nice place outside the city of Chiang Rai. I took a Local bus from temp busstation to the white temple for 20B and then tried to find a seongthaew to drive me to this waterfall. However I was there during a public holiday so hard to find someone. I received help from the people in front of white temple. And... More

We had great time going to the waterfall, hiked more than 40 minutes in a national park, was a cool day, not to sunny made the hiking easier. Impressed experience. All family loved it.

Not impressed, too much hiking and not deep enough to swim. It felt like our driver was taking on us on a "manufactured" well worn trail.

This waterfall is as good as what most people had reviewed in TripAdvisor. It is so good that it makes the 2.8 km trek to-and-fro worth it. Not a very tough trek but people with weak knees should be warned. My teenage son enjoyed it and a big achievement for my wife.
