This place is a hidden gem in Chiang Rai city. Probably one of the best museum in Thailand. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. Recommend to people who interested in historical artifacts. Ps. This place is not allowed to take the picture inside.

Gives detailed information about the exhibited objects, which are thousands, collected by a real enthusiast. This is a must in Chiang Rai!

Over the years I've visited many museums. This is certainly in the top 5 for me. If you're interested in the history and artifacts from the ancient "Lanna Kingdom", then you must visit here. The collection has been made by one person who has a...More

WHEN I arrived here, brushing my way through plants hanging down in the elephant heads entrance, I swiftly found that Oub Kham was a little museum which punched far above its weight for interest. The small and compact grounds are fascinating with hidden treasures tucked...More

I went here this morning alone and had the luck of getting a private tour (as there was no one else and a guided tour is obligatory). The tour was really interesting for anyone who wants a bit of context on northern Thai (Lanna) history...More

Expensive entry fee according to Thai standard, but worth every cent. The museum is beautiful and the collection amazing. Even better, the ticket comes with a guided tour and tea session afterwards in a beautiful room. We enjoyed the visit a lot more than we...More

I wanted to take my non-Thai husband and our two kids to visit this museum. My husband wanted to get the tickets ahead of the visit, returned empty-handed and told me why. Our (50% Thai) kids would have had to pay double (B200 instead of...More
