This is a traditional market with a lot of thai food taking place every saturday in the evening. Do not come here when you feel sick, because you are probably going to throw up - at least on the right side where you can find all the food. Apart from this, the market is really nice and you can buy... More

Whittle away an hour picking up some market food as you do. A local affair up behind the central bus station on Sat evening. Not much souvenir stuff for tourists.

This place is known by all locals. Just grab a tiktuk or taxi ( inexpensive) and they will bring you. Not the biggest I have seen compared to other cities, but all you need. Thai food from diner options to desserts, local Som Tam with Chicken or fish. Furthermore you can shop for souvenirs or some nice shawls or T... More

If you 're looking for cheap food in Khon Kaen, this is the place. There were Thai food but it is little bit different when you compare with Chiang Mai or Southern Thai region.

I was asked by my Thai relatives if I wanted to go to the nearby night market, my brother and I jumped at the opportunity. It was that enjoyable that we found ourselves there every night. It appears to be well laid out and purpose built with plenty of good seating areas and live music in two areas. The food... More

Very busy at night which shows its popularity. Lots of stalls selling everything you could want from food to feeding goats. Well lit and prices very cheap on some things.

The night market is better atmosphere than a day market. Plenty of good food and drink stalls available but usual products on the numerous stalls for sale. Some good bargains can be obtained if you can barter well. OK for an hour or two once in a while but every town and village has something similar to offer. This market... More

I visit this market often in the night. Local food abounds in this outdoor setting with fresh food being cooked continuously. They also have local stalls selling hand made products and some shops around the edges are more permanent and sell many upmarket good as well. There are some great second hand stores selling legal local older bits and pieces.... More

A visit to Khon Kaen's Night Market is a treat you should not miss! I am very lucky to have been living in the Isaan region of Thailand for almost four years and during that time I haven't even scratched the surface of all that there is to see in this wonderful place! Our visit to Khon Kaen's Night Market... More

Other reviewers have described the many attractions of this market. You don't need a taxi to get there, as it's on the following local bus routes: No. 6 ( light green line) No. 9 (purple line) No. 12 (pink line). The market is between KFC and the Volvo dealer, about 1km south of the Big C Centre, all on the... More
