I hired a scooter to get here, it’s about 35 mins from Ao Nang beach. There is a car park and refreshment shop at the base of the trail, along with a Ranger station, where they log visitors in and out for safety. The trail...More

I did this as a training exercise on a cloudy day. We rented a scooter - taxis from Ao Nang beach would have cost about 700 Baht one way - instead rented a scooter for 200 + about 100 fuel. I almost regretted that as...More

The climb is not that easy. It’ll take you 1,5 hour to get to up. But its worth it. Bring your shoes and Some food and drinks!

Take your time at the top, there're more ledges and viewpoints than you might think and none of them are signposted.

I think it's the same. Khao means hill or mountain in Thai. So Khao Ngon Nak I guess is referring to the actual name of the hill, and Tab Kak Hong Nak is referring to the name of the trail up the hill.
