Temple beside the lake

Beautiful temple beside the lake. At night, they lit the lights around the temple. Very serene view beside the lake.

One of three historic wats located along the small lake in "downtown" Mae Hongson. Beautiful day or night. A treasure for those interested in historic architecture.

This is a lovely Wat overlooking Lake Jong Kun. It is lit up of a night and the lights are mirrored in the lake. Great for photos.

Beautiful and interesting complex of temples in a peaceful setting by the lake. Looks brilliant at night all lit up.

The view of this temple across the lake is the iconic picture of Mae Hong Son and it is magical. If you saw nothing closer, it would be enough. Inside is not exciting. Whilst the much vaunted paintings on glass are beautiful and the elaborate wooden throne impressive, the overall inside of this Shan style temple comes nowhere near the... More

My girlfriend and I found ourselves rather bored with what Mae Hong Son has to offer the tourists and this was just another one of the places you are suppose to visit while in MHS - apparently. At the back side of a small lake - more like a pond really. I did enjoy walking through the library/museum located on... More

The pagoda is just next of Mae Hong Son lake. The view is amazing for day and night. You can also see the difference between Thailand and Mynamar pagoda style. One of the best thing is Mae Hong Son is changing the type of pagodas because of Shan people. You should definitely visit here because its central and easy access.... More

Visited here last year...interesting architecture. This year the stupas are under repair, hopefully to the former glory. Still takes a good photo.

There is a pond in front of the temple. I heard that this temple is the first temple of Mae Hong Son. We were lucky to see fog above the pond in the morning.
