About
Adjacent to Patong Beach, this buzzing and vibrant strip is a great place to start your Phuket pub crawl. Enter past the iconic Patong Beach sign and prepare your senses for the neon lights, throngs of tourists and touts, street vendors selling snacks, and dance anthems pumping from the plethora of go-go bars and clubs. Those planning to partake in the evening festivities can purchase skip-the-line tickets in advance for entry to various nightclubs. Bangla Road sees dense crowds, especially during the peak holiday season in December. Park yourself at a bar, grab a beer and watch the night unfold. – Tripadvisor

    Bangla Road
Great must do when coming to Phuket. Even if just once. We went earlier in the evening but it was still very busy and very loud. All your senses come alive down this road. Many people trying to get you to sit at their bars and buy drinks. We bought a few drinks at a couple of bars and listened to some great live bands. Also great just for people watching. Many bars to choose from, there are food stalls, markets and a few x rated places doing ping pong shows etc. even came across my first meeting with the ladyboys of Thailand. Was a great experience all round.

    Must See!
It’s like Bourbon St on steroids. I had so much fun visiting the bars with a group of friends. I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable alone. The shopping is great! Definitely a must see.

    Bangla rd
Haven't been here for about 12 years Has changed a bit. Lot bigger clubs pubs with huge neon light's. Couple of cafes . Mainly bars and shops selling clothing. Sunglasses etc. A few marijuana shops now. At night rd is closed off to traffic. Veey busy and noisy. Bars competing with each other with music.. can be hard to hear each other talk A couple has bands. The same gogo touts offering to see ping pong shows for free. But beware . The drinks prices are hugely inflated. Good for people watching walking up and down if u dont want to go to bars. It is a red light area , some western women are offended and disgusted of what they see, but unfortunately the thais working in bars gave no other option for income. Dont be so judgemental. One good thing i noticed this time. There are no annoying pushy Timeshare touts that used to harrass people who walked down there during the day time.

    Typical Tourist vendor saturated walk
Typical tourist street full of vendors with the same merchandise. Most are dishonest and quite a price 3X’s the actual retail value. Very 1 to 5 will give a near reasonable price but even then it will still be over what they can sell something for. Haggle haggle haggle I can’t say it more! They all have a calculator sitting there to type in a price then offer it to you to type in what you want to pay…assuming it’s so the next tourist can’t hear as they will try to over charge them too! Every five steps “tuk tuk” ..that’s someone offering a ride in a mini open air little covered motor wagon type transport with speakers all around it to play music for the riders. Something young people in groups would love that’s partying on vacation! It’s food vendors galore that are both appealing and not appealing visually.

    Love it
Excellent place for a night out a sensory overload. Can’t get enough of this place. Great music, happy party people, its just fantastic. I recommend Harem for dancing and ladies. Avoid Suzy Wongs, dreadful music and a huge rip off

    Lots to do
Amazing visit to Phuket. Bangla Road is very busy with alot to do. It’s must visit for first timers. The experience is like nothing else. If you want more of recharge and relax vacation, you might not like as much. But even then you have to come here, even if for a day.

    Very loud with persistent touts
Bangla road is an experience in it's self, lots of noisy bars and clubs, people trying to get you to buy things or tempt you into the bars and clubs. Lots of things going on from street dancers to extravagantly dressed ladyboys posing for photos. Strip shows and god knows what else is on offer, worth a visit if you don't mind being deafened.

    Always Entertaining
Entertaining bordering on sometimes crazy. Diversity of people and many options for entertainment makes Bangla what it is. I love the Live music of New York and Star Bar, also the small lounge style drinking options. Music, people and colour it always offers fun.

    Not for the young.
Yes seen this sort of thing before but not my cup of tea. We had my kids where my son it was a little too much - too noisy. My daughter was ok until she scraped her heel (magic Band-Aid worked a treat. I had fun walking but just opens your eyes to how many desperate old people out there. A must to see though

A memorable experience with such contrasts, like the difference between night and day!
Such a contrast between night and day at this location. During the days, the road is open n so are the bars. U can wander along n check out the market stalls. At night it definitely comes alive! The road closes and out come the spruikers offering ping pong shows n cheaps drinks practically every step you take. Jjst politely say no thank you or shake your head n keep on walking. They are never over bearing n will then leave you alone. Have an open mind n enjoy the experience n take in all the sites. However dont try and have a conversation with a companion as the music playing in every bar n club is so loud! You can also have a bit of fun n have your photo taken with the famous ladyboys of Thailand. (You are required to give them 100 baht donation). Even if you dont want to drink or party in one of the hundreds of bars, take a stroll down Bangla Road just for the experience/atmosphere. Tip: it gets very crowded at night so be aware of your valuables/wallet etc. Im not saying it’s unsafe, but like other major tourist areas that are crowded, there are always the opportunistic thieves/pick pockets.

Very busting n hsppening place with lots of bar and night clubs, which arise from afternoon n sleeps at mid night. Phuket's Bangla Road really comes to life after sunset, when the road is closed to traffic and becomes a 400-metre festival of neon lights, loud music and cheap beer. Jammed most nights of the year, it's quite a friendly and lively place to walk around, with dozens of bars and clubs competing with each other for customers.

Beer bars occupy most of the street's length, with several go-go bars and a few pubs, restaurants, discos and shops rounding out the attractions, both on Soi Bangla and down its side streets. Street performances are also common most nights, which can make dodging around the tailor shop salesmen, leaflet distributors, street vendors and ping-pong show touts more difficult, but it is all part of the fun.

This is where it all happens in Phuket and if you are not staying there, it can't be missed. The entertainment is fantastic and caters for every taste. The Red Hot Club has a superb atmosphere with a great group on every night and also is a must go to location. Lots of Lady Boys trying to entice, so be careful.
During the day calms down enormously for that great value food and shopping experience!

This road is sleazy and the restaurants are very expensive, especially if you are looking for seafood.
Beware lady boys who want you to have your picture taken.
I had one photo with one and the moment I went to pay her the agreed 100baht she took ALL of the cash I had. That amounted to several thousand baht.

Busy, but you need to experience this place, can be scary for the light hearted.
I have been coming here for over 20 years and it has changed a lot good for shopping restaurants now are in my opinion not that great , but only because I had been going to the Savoy for years and had an appalling meal last year and basically they couldn’t care less. Went to another place this year and again a crap meal. So what I would say choose carefully

This is located in Patong and city centre of Phuket. The whole street is full of street markets and stalls of street food with music and entertainment end to end. The variety is so vast you’re bound to find something to suit your needs. It’s very crowded and noisy with lots of lights so watch out if sensitive. Great experience for most.
