We arrive and there were at least 20 other people there already or arriving around the same time. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and were one of the first to get on. As an earlier poster mentioned, the ride was far from exciting, exhilarating or even "fun". First of all I don't know who to feel more sorry for....the... More

We got what we came for- elephant and monkeys- and an ATV tour- but we came away dirty and feeling that way- A bit too pricey for the experience and certainly the environment was not well cared for considering the trash, etc on the elephant walk. The Monkey Show - while the monkeys are "cute" felt more like slave labor... More

It was my first elephant ride. My fiancé and I had a great time. I was a little concerned that the seatbelt was a car seatbelt without the actual buckle. It was tied into a knot to keep you in place. The ride itself was amazing. Our driver allowed my fiancé to "drive" the elephant and took pictures. I highly... More

I've always had elephant trekking on my bucket list so was pleased to see it in Phuket advertised through Viator and much cheaper than anywhere else. Rather than do the whole safari experience we just went for the one hour elephant trek. We were picked up from the hotel and picked up a few more on the way and drove... More

A fraction of the cost of other elephant safari treks in Phuket, this attraction was well worth it. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the ride, but I can see how PETA types would whine about the conditions of the animals. Yes, a few of the elephants were chained, particularly when they were eating. However, the employees seemed to genuinely care... More

Elephants are well looked after and well fed too. Very quiet and a lovely place to trek and overlook Phuket. The only off putting thing is that the Mahout stops the elephant and tries to sell you trinkets, but you are warned about this from the start and are not expected to buy. A great experience overall.

After reading reviews on here, I was very worried about going to this camp as it isn't rated as one of the best in Phuket however by opinion was changed when we booked a private van from our hotel to take us around Phuket and asked him about elephants and this is where he brought us (as it is on... This place was another of Phuket's exploitative and cruel animal attractions. The monkey show and snake show were horrible and cruel to all animals, especially the snakes. They were thrown around, poked, struck and teased in an appalling manner in order for the to attempt to strike out at the handlers. These handlers dodging the strike is apparently entertaining! They... More
