I have been in or at the Island many times over the years, and while it has gotten increasing developed, it still manages to retain charm

Its a big island with few roads. We got off the bridge from NY. Going east along the south coast was just a boring ride to a dead-end in a private community. However, when we went to the west end of the island, there was...More

Absolutely gorgeous small town. The houses are absolutely picturesque and the scenery is breathtaking. We absolutely loved our walk through the streets and loved seeing all the golf carts. Truly a town that allows you to step back into time.

I did see a few golf carts, lots of bikes and skateboards. I'm not sure if only the staff are allowed the carts though. I'm sure if you call the office they would clarify it for you!!
