Lots to do and see with markets , shops , street food and café. The place is like a maze and was fun to walk. would highly recommend it

It's lots of fun to wander in here. Yes, shop keepers want you to come and buy stuff--that is how they live. You have to bargain. Don't be shocked, it's part of the experience. Take your time and cut the price in half. Change the subject. Don't get too attached to any one object. Make like you are going to... More

Busy, colourful, a must for anyone shopping or who just wants a taste of Tunisian life. Go with the right mindset, enjoy it. Don't go if you are in a hurry! Beautiful buildings, a very traditional atmosphere. So much to see.

Dirty, Scary, Pushy. The whole area is the pits and the sheer volume of people claiming to be the chef from my hotel was incredible. I will never go back to Tunisia

Not much there! Good to pay to go in and look over the bay. However, unless you want to buy a load of stuff in the markets as well you'll have to work for your view by running the gauntlet of sellers.

Lovely food very well cooked especially a brick which is an egg cooked in batter. Lovely hotel. Be careful when shopping you will want to buy everything but remember to barter. Because there was blonde hair sticking out of my headscarf the arab boys wanted to touch it, One older arab offered my husband 9 camels to buy me, fortunately... More
