A true beauty!
This mosque was built 500 years ago, Persian Masters made the stunning tiles (from where originated the famous Iznik tiles). The marble entrance took one single artist three years to make.
Amazing.

A famous Selçuk mosque and tomb complex from the early 15th century. Do not miss it with its early tiled exterior and interior.

This beautiful mosque was built by Mehmet 1 in 1419-1420 and has a unique interior with lovely blue tiles and excellent handwork.
The two rooms opening up to the main hall also must be visited. The designs are beautiful and different from other mosques. It’s a pity that I could post only 10 photos. This is a complex and should be visited together with the Green Tomb.

This is a small mosque so easy to walk round and take in the Islamic decoration. A wonderful ceiling. It was quiet when I visited which I like because the atmosphere was serene and tranquil which is what you expect to find in a place of religious worship. It is more interesting if you delve a little into the history and sits across the road from the "Green Tomb" so both can be visited at once.

This is one of the landmarks of the city. Built by Mehmet I it's the first mosque where you can find a fine work with green, blue, and yellow tiles, a precedent for its future widespread use. Its architecture is amazing and different from subsequent mosques. Also, in front of it you can find Green Tomb, where Mehmet I was buried.

A must visit sight in Bursa. Sitting on a hill on the northern side of town the "green Mosque" has grey stone walls outside but fantastic green tiles inside. The tile walls, painted ceilings, stained glass windows and atmospheric lighting are all features making a memorable visit. Drink water from the small fountain in the middle of the mosque. It is just downhill from the equally impressive green tomb.
